THE ARTIST
It started with dolphins. My art has grown from a fascination with dolphins in pencil, color, and clay to realistic pencil drawings, watercolor, and, finally, more abstract multimedia creations. Utilitarian art occasionally takes the front seat, and I crochet or work with wood or resin.
I seek inspiration by exploring new environments and activities, then take off in a new artistic direction.
THE ANALYZER
I love solving problems, reading all kinds of books, and seeing things from a different perspective. Books with a twist, art in a new medium, learning an expressive language, learning my grandmother's crochet stitch; all things I will take to with a passion.
Taking complex ideas and translating them into something easy to understand is something I love doing. Got a strange situation? I want to help come up with a solution. How do we move all these plants across the country? I have an idea. Need a decision matrix? I have a spreadsheet for that.
NATURE & ANIMAL LOVER
I've always been drawn to nature and happiest with my animals. From camping as a kid, planting bee-friendly flowers, and taking vacations near streams, I'm happy outside.
My animals are part of my family. I'm also happy to spend time with other people's animals. Cats, dogs, horses, snakes, and fish; I love them all.
